If you trade Deriv’s Step Index, you know it’s different from the other synthetics. There are no wild spikes like Boom and Crash, and the movement is steady and structured. That makes it a good candidate for automation, so I built an Expert Advisor for it. I’m giving it away free, settings included.
Why Step Index?
Step Index moves in fixed, predictable increments. That gives an EA a clean environment to work in, with fewer random spikes to blow through a stop loss and more consistent behaviour to build rules around.
What the EA Does
[Fill in from your video, for example:]
- Strategy logic: [entry conditions, e.g. indicator or price-action trigger]
- Timeframe: [e.g. M1 / M5]
- Risk management: [fixed lot, risk %, SL/TP approach, any trailing or break-even]
- Filters: [spread, session, max open trades, etc.]
- Platform: MetaTrader 5, on a Deriv account
Free Settings Included
I’m sharing the settings file I use, so you don’t have to guess at the inputs. Load the .set file in the EA’s inputs tab and you’re ready to test. It works on both demo and live accounts.
Test on Demo First
Please don’t skip this step. Run the EA on a demo account with the provided settings before you put real money behind it. Watch how it behaves, check the trade frequency, and make sure you’re comfortable with the drawdown. Every account, broker connection and market condition is a little different, and a free tool is only useful if you understand what it’s doing.
